Every year between May and June, the biggest tealeaves, about a month old, are harvested. They are used to produce many different drinks including Beicha Tea, which involves drying and oven roasting the leaves.
As we do for all of our imported products, we perform tests on Beicha Tea before it is shipped to Italy, and again after it has been delivered to us in Italy, to ensure that it complies with our quality standards.
We have also tested Beicha Tea after preparation, to determine the drink’s caffeine content. We found that its caffeine content is so small that instruments cannot measure it. Therefore, we may say that caffeine is present only in traces.
